Game Developer • Unity Programmer • CMGT Student

Hi, I’m Mehmet Egemen Filiz.

I build gameplay systems, interactive prototypes, and atmospheric indie games. My work focuses on clear mechanics, strong player feedback, and practical development under real project constraints.

Current Focus

Station-31

A sci-fi suspense exploration game about signals, isolation, and an unregistered space station.

Selected Work

Projects

University Game Project

The Deep Market

A satirical first-person supermarket game set in a dystopian Netherlands dominated by major supermarket chains. The player shops under a limited budget while dealing with time pressure, obstacles, deals, and shopping accuracy.

  • Built pickup, drop, cart, shopping list, timer, and score systems.
  • Used field research at Jumbo to support the design.
  • Balanced realism, satire, and readable gameplay goals.

Client Project

CPR Nightclub VR

A VR CPR scenario developed for an elderly-care related client context. I worked as Lead Programmer and created core Unity systems for the interactive prototype, including XR interaction, crowd behavior, and scenario flow.

  • Worked with Unity XR tools and hand interaction systems.
  • Implemented scene logic, crowd reactions, and emergency flow.
  • Led programming tasks and supported team integration.

Game Prototype

Post-Apocalyptic Car Game

A top-down car-driving game prototype with a post-apocalyptic and eldritch theme, created in GameMaker Studio as part of a fast university production cycle.

  • Worked on fast prototyping and project planning.
  • Explored top-down vehicle movement and arcade-style gameplay.
  • Managed group tasks as project lead.

Quiz & Input Systems

A collection of Unity systems created for interactive projects, including an input manager, question display system, team score manager, button state saving, randomized minigame loading, and physical button prototypes.

  • Created reusable managers for input, scoring, and UI state.
  • Used PlayerPrefs and persistent objects for saved button states.
  • Connected physical buttons through Arduino / adaptive controller workflows.

About

Developer Profile

I am a Creative Media and Game Technologies student at Hanze University of Applied Sciences. My main interest is becoming an independent game developer and building compact but high-quality PC games. I like projects where programming, design, atmosphere, and player experience all connect into one clear playable result.
